General front page research

This magazine cover is very vibrant and bright, and I like the way that her rich red coloured hair looks sharp against her pale porcelain face. The blue eye makeup used contrasts well with the colour of her hair because the colours are both very strong and bright yet do not clash in any way. Every colour that is used has an impact of colour against her pale face which looks very strong as an image and makes the picture more eye-catching. The colours of the nails lips and hair are all on the red colour spectrum which ties it all together.

This magazine cover is still very vibrant and eye catching but the colours are more pastel than deep rich colours, again the eyes are made to be main features with the bold makeup around them making them stand out. I like this one because of the pose I think it’s really effective in bringing out the style of the magazine. I think the models hair colour is perhaps too pale as it blends in with the background and it takes away from the boldness of the magazine front cover as a whole.

This one is different from the previous two in that it has a slightly softer feel to it although the colours are still bright. I like the way her head goes over the top of the magazine title. She isn’t looking at the camera so there isn’t the same idea of having the bold eyes as the focus point like the other magazines front covers. There is no attention drawing point of this cover unlike the two covers above.
