Contents page layout drawings

In order to decide the layout of my contents page i drew up some plans that I thought might look good for the style of my music magazine.

All of my layout designs are very similar as I have a pretty clear idea of how I want it to look. In the first one I have put the front cover picture in the top and made the text section quite large. In number 2 I put the front cover directly under the title and I made the space for text a bit smaller. I immediately rejected this idea as it left me with a lot of space to fill in an awkward shape (thin space next to text). As well as this I made the main image larger so that it went down all the way to the bottom and I didn't like this either. In image number 3 I changed the size of the text space to get rid of the problem in image 3 and I also made the images smaller so they did not go all the way down to the bottom of the page. Image number 4 is a bit different as I put the 'contents'  in the centre at the top and put the front page next to it.
I am going to go with number 3 because it looks most like my research and is the layout I prefer and believe looks most professional.
