Detailed contents page reserach

For layout, this contents page is definatley one of the best ones I have come across. I like the fact that it is not too text heavy and there are a range of pictures on there. The red detail, that is repeated all over, gives a contiuous theme to the page and does not make it look messy or bust at all. The main image of florence welch is very eye-catching and bright but so are the smaller images and they are all equally very strong. The sqares with numbers on are something that I like and picked out in my previous research, and I will be putting something similar on my own contents page.

 In both of these contents page images, it is mostly the layout and text that I am drawn to. For the photo side of things I think I am going to go back to my orignal research, that included images from contents pages that were not from music magazines as such. this will be for my main image but for the smaller ones I am going to use pictures from concerts which are sort of shown in these contents pages.

 Again this is a very similar layout that I like and in fact  I much prefer this one in the sense the text is smaller. However I do not so much like the way that the large image takes up most of the osace on the page, I think it takes all attention away form the smaller images. Again in this one there are numbers in the corneres of the pictures bnut I do not actually like the font that they are in or the size, I think they are too large. On this one I think I would make the title perhaps a bit larger. Overall I do really like the way it has been set out and hope to create somehting similar.
